Rijfers River Cruises is a Netherlands-based river cruise operator with two vessels and another making its debut in 2017. Although most of their guests are from England, they select their crew from all countries in the European Union. Their crew management partners are Sea Chefs and River Tech, managing their recruitment needs.
In 2004, the founder, owner and former captain J.C. (Johan) Rijfers purchased the Rex Rheni (King of the Rhine). That was the start of Rijfers River Cruises. A few years later, Rex Rheni was replaced by the Regina Rheni (Queen of the Rhine). In 2013, the Filia Rheni (Daughter of the Rhine) was added to the fleet. In spring 2017 the 135-metre Asara will join their fleet.
