Facts About Asuka Cruise
Asuka Cruise is owned and operated by NYK (Nippon Yusen Kaisha), a Japan-based company. They currently operate Asuka II, a 50,444 GRT vessel that has a capacity of 872 passengers. The ship was built in 1989 and was originally owned by Crystal Cruises as Crystal Harmony. In 2006, it was transferred to parent company, NYK Group and re-entered service as Asuka II.
In March 2021, NYK Group ordered a new 744-guest ship for its Asuka Cruise brand. The 51,950-ton ship will be delivered in 2025.
