According to Travel Weekly, Canada’s current cruise ship ban may keep large ships out of Alaska in 2021, but several U.S.-flagged small-ship operators will sail the state’s waters this summer with Covid-19 protocols in place. Four cruise lines that will cruise Alaska this summer are Alaskan Dream Cruises, American Cruise Lines, Lindblad Expeditions, and UnCruise Adventures.
Alaskan Dream Cruises Jobs
Alaskan Dream Cruises offers small ship cruising on their six small expedition vessels that get close to the wildlife and nature of Alaska. They employ an all-American crew that are predominantly from Alaska. They have a number of job opportunities listed on their website, where interested applicants can apply online.
Cruise Ship Jobs with American Cruise Lines
American Cruise Lines employs an all-American crew on their fleet of 12 small ships that cruise along the inland waterways and rivers of the United States, including Alaska. Between 2021 and 2022 they will debut another two vessels. American Cruise Lines offers a range of marine and hospitality career opportunities aboard its ships. Lindblad Expeditions Jobs
Lindblad Expeditions is an expedition travel company that operates a fleet of 14 expedition ships to all corners of the globe, including Alaska. They are recruiting for a number of cruise ship jobs on their vessels including Second Mates, Third Mates, Seasonal Deckhands, Chief Engineers, Engine Mechanics, Assistant Engineers, Chefs, Cooks, Bartenders, Hotel Managers, Pursers, and Seasonal Stewards. Lindblad is also hiring expedition leaders, naturalists, guest speakers, photographers, dive masters, cultural specialists, and historians.

UnCruise Adventures operates a fleet of nine small adventure boats that offer itineraries that include Alaska, Pacific Northwest, Hawaii, Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, Belize, and the Galapagos. They employ mostly American crew. Their website’s employment pages indicate that they are still recruiting for Captain, Hotel Manager, 1st Mate, 2nd Mate, Bosun, Deckhand, Bartender, Steward, Chef, Sous Chef, Pastry Chef, and Galley Utility.
