Currently, there are a number of different cruise ship jobs that American Cruise Lines is actively recruiting for. They currently operate 13 vessels with another two ships set to debut in 2022.
Entry Level Jobs with American Cruise Lines
American Cruise Lines website indicates that they are currently accepting applications for their Crew Excellence Program for their 2022 season. They are looking to add Servers, Dishwashers, Deckhands, and Housekeepers for their internship program.
As a participant within American Cruise Lines’ Crew Excellence Program, you will be given the opportunity to travel the US and live on a cruise ship, while building your resume and learning skills that will last a lifetime. Gain valuable experience while becoming hospitality certified as you step outside of the box and reach your maximum potential.
Their ideal candidate possesses the following traits: hardworking, natural leader, ambitious, goal-oriented, and a team player. The roles within this program being offered are for Server, Dishwasher, Housekeeper, and Deckhand. Applying to this program will allow you to choose your path within one of these dynamic roles.
For 28-weeks you will live on board one of their vessels with an anticipated start date of January / March of 2022. During the application process, candidates are encouraged to consider which position is of the most interest to them.
Culinary Jobs with American Cruise Lines
American Cruise Lines is also looking to add crew to their onboard culinary teams. As they gear up for the 2022 season, they will add multiple Line Cooks, Lead Line Cooks, Pastry Chefs, and Executive Chefs. American Cruise Lines’ job descriptions state that Line Cooks are required to have a minimum of three years’ experience at a full-service restaurant, hotel, resort, or cruise ship.

To apply for a position with American Cruise Lines, applicants must fill out an application through the iCIMS system via ACL’s website. At this time, they do not use outside agencies to hire their employees. Also note, as per USCG regulations, crew must be an American citizen or have a Green Card.
