Facts About UnCruise Adventures
Un Cruise Adventures became the new name of a cruise line that had its roots in the past Alaskan cruise companies, American Safari Cruises, InnerSea Discoveries, Glacier Bay Cruise Lines, and Cruise West.
In 1996, American Safari Cruises was founded. In 1999, Captain Dan Blanchard joined American Safari Cruises and in 2008 he purchased the company. In 2009, InnerSea Discoveries is added as a budget-friendly sister brand to American Safari Cruises. During that year they acquired Wilderness Discoverer and Wilderness Adventurer from a bank that held them since the bankruptcy of Glacier Bay Cruise Lines.
In 2010, Cruise West ceased operations and two of their ships were acquired by American Safari Cruises and renamed Safari Endeavour and Legacy. In 2013, American Safari Cruises and InnerSea Discoveries rebrand to Un-Cruise Adventures.
UnCruise Adventures currently operates nine adventure vessels that carry between 22 and 86 guests. They also offer their Family Discoveries program for kids aged eight and older.
