Facts About of Uniworld
Los Angeles-based Uniworld was founded in 1976, but the company began operating river cruises along the waterways of Europe in 1993. In 2004, Uniworld was acquired by The Travel Corporation (TTC), a company with more than 30 top brands, including Trafalgar, Insight Vacations, and Contiki, as well as Red Carnation Hotels.
TTC has made major investments in Uniworld’s ships, crew, and staff. No two ships are the same and they each boast distinctive interior design. In partnership with its sister company, Red Carnation Hotels, Uniworld takes pride in its long-lasting relationships with guests, for whom there is “No request too large, no detail too small.” Uniworld employs a professionally trained, dedicated, English-speaking staff
In 2017, Uniworld introduced Millenial-focused river cruise line, U by Uniworld. The line consists of two vessels, The A and The B. Both ships are former ships of the fleet which were painted black. U’s product is less expensive than her sister brand, but with fewer inclusions.
