Is Silversea Cruises Hiring?
Silversea Cruises’ website states that they are working with the CDC and others toward the shared goal of the health and safety of guests and crew and will therefore be extending the suspension of sailings to include those departing on or before October 31, 2020. However, this does not mean that Silversea has have paused their recruiting efforts. On the contrary, they are actively recruiting for new crewmembers.
Silversea Cruises currently operates 10 cruise ships with another four ships scheduled to launch between October 2020 and 2023. Royal Caribbean Group is the parent company of Silversea Cruises and they recruit officers and crew from around the world. In fact, their recruiting partner, V. Ships Leisure has a number of cruise ship jobs that they are actively recruiting for with a joining date of December 1, 2020.
Although Silversea Cruises does not have any ships cruising with passengers right now, all of their cruise ships are continuously changing the crew onboard. Each cruise ship requires a minimum complement of crew to carry out essential duties. And, as in normal operational periods, crew changes occur on a regular basis as contracts come to an end.
