Is American Cruise Lines Hiring?

In December 2020, American Cruise Lines stated that their cruises are currently scheduled to resume in March 2021 at a reduced capacity and following industry-standard protocols. Their employment website and their Facebook pages are in recruitment mode with 11 different cruise ship jobs posted in anticipation of their 2021 Season.

To apply for a position with American Cruise Lines, applicants must fill out an application through the iCIMS system via ACL’s website. At this time, they do not use outside agencies to hire their employees. Also note, as per USCG regulations, crew must be an American citizen or have a Green Card.

Hospitality Excellence Program

Internship Program with American Cruise Lines

For their 2021 season, American Cruise Lines is offering two brand new programs, their Hospitality Excellence Program and their Maritime Milestone Program.  For a maximum of 28 weeks, Deckhands, Servers, Housekeepers, and Gallery Stewards will live and work on board one of their cruise ships while earning competitive pay.

The Hospitality Excellence Program is ideal for those who are just starting out in the hospitality industry. It is designed to provide valuable, hands-on hospitality experience, as well as the chance to work alongside seasoned shipboard employees. This program allows for the opportunity to work as a Server, Housekeeper, or Dishwasher. In comparison, the Maritime Milestone Program is offered for Deckhands to take their experience to the next level.
