Royal Caribbean Job Postings

Currently, there are 195 cruise jobs listed on Royal Caribbean International’s employment pages of their website. The job opportunities are available in practically every area of operations. But, isn’t the cruise industry shutdown? Although cruising won’t get started until later in 2021, Royal Caribbean is still recruiting.

When Will Royal Caribbean Cruises Resume?

As with the majority of the cruise industry, Royal Caribbean has paused their cruise operations until May 2021, according to Royal Caribbean’s website.

At Royal Caribbean International, our guests and crew’s safety and well-being are always our top priorities. After further consulting with our partners at Cruise Lines International Association and in conjunction with the CDC, we have decided to extend the suspension of sailings for our global fleet for all sailings through April 30th, 2021 – excluding sailings onboard Quantum of the Seas in Singapore and Spectrum of the Seas in China. Our plan is to resume further operation in May.

Is Royal Caribbean Hiring?

Royal Caribbean currently operates 24 cruise ships with plans to welcome six more ships between 2021 and 2025. The 4,284-passenger Odyssey of the Seas is scheduled to debut in April 2021.  Like her sister ships, she will also employ 1,551 crew onboard.

Although Royal Caribbean has extended the suspension of their cruises until May 2021, all of their cruise ships are continuously changing the crew onboard. Each cruise ship requires a minimum complement of crew to carry out essential duties. And, as in normal operational periods, crew changes occur on a regular basis as contracts come to an end.
