Poseidon Expeditions is one of the leading providers of polar expeditions in the cruise industry. They operate three expedition vessels on cruises to the North Pole, the Arctic and Antarctica. They market their expedition cruises globally and hire an international crew through a third-party concessionaire.
History of Poseidon Expeditions
Founded in 1999 as a tour operator for expedition cruises to the North Pole, Poseidon Expeditions has expanded their operations with three ships (two of them ice breakers) that offer polar cruises.
In 2008 Poseidon Expeditions started operating the 128-passenger, nuclear-powered 50 Years of Victory. In 2015, Poseidon Expeditions started operating polar cruises to Arctic and Antarctic on the 114-passenger, luxury expedition, Sea Spirit. Passengers are guided ashore by a team of expedition guides and educators to observe up-close the spectacular wildlife and landscapes.
Since 2015, Poseidon Expeditions has been using Cruise Management International and CMI Leisure for the technical ship management and crewing of their vessels. They recruit for the positions of Bridge Officers, Engineers, Hotel, and Culinary Staff. These positions are advertised on CMI (Cruise Management International) and CMI Leisure website.
Alternatively, Poseidon Expeditions directly hires their expedition staff for all of their polar adventures. If you have appropriate experience in the Polar Regions as expedition staff, use the below email address to send a covering email and your CV.
